SEBAC/4C's Agreement Approved

SEBAC Press ConferenceAcross the state, union members voted overwhelmingly to ratify the revised SEBAC 2011 tentative agreement. SEBAC officially adopted the agreement on Aug. 18. It was deemed approved by the state legislature on September 1.

The agreement calls for sacrifice, but also provides job security and protects vital public services.

The New SEBAC Agreement

SEBAC has ratified the tentative agreement (TA) clarifying that all layoff notices will be rescinded and that the State Employee Health Plan will be preserved.

Members Stand Up for Childcare Programs

MXCC Childcare CenterIf the SEBAC Agreement had failed, layoffs could have closed the Child Care Centers at Middlesex, Manchester, and Tunxis. Teachers and parents from the centers met with the press to discuss the impact of eliminating the services provided at the child care centers. Now that the Agreement has passed, the layoffs will be rescinded and we expect the programs will remain open.
